Striving tirelessly, acting diligently, and vigorously writing a new chapter in the development of China's sewing machinery industry in the new era - Speech by Chairman Yang Xiaojing at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the China Sewing Machinery Association.

Today, with joyful hearts, we gather here to solemnly review the 40-year growth journey of the China Sewing Machinery Association, share the fruitful results of the industry's transformation from large to strong, and look forward to a bright future that inspires us. Here, on behalf of the China Sewing Machinery Association, I express my sincere respect to the leaders of the China National Light Industry Federation, leaders from various national ministries and commissions, and leaders from related industry associations who have cared for and supported the development of our industry and association over the past forty years. I also extend heartfelt thanks to all industry veterans and experts who have silently contributed to achieving our national goals, as well as all member friends!

Forty years is but a brief moment in the long river of human history; however, for the Sewing Machinery Association, it has been an extraordinary development journey. Over these forty years, the association has consistently adhered to the leadership of the Party, deepened its 'four services', cultivated brand work, strengthened its own construction, and worked hand in hand with member enterprises through thick and thin to jointly write a magnificent chapter in China's sewing machine history.

The forty-year journey is a history of hard work and perseverance.Since its establishment in November 1984, the China Sewing Machinery Association has rooted itself in the industry, leading it from small beginnings to strength. It has built one of the world's most advanced and complete sewing machinery industrial chain systems. The industry scale ranks first globally; industrial sewing equipment accounts for over 85% worldwide; there are more than 20,000 core technological achievements and invention patents; it boasts significant research strength and manufacturing levels that are globally leading. Over these forty years under the leadership of past presidents such as Zhang Xialing, Liang Yuxin, Zhang Chonghe, Wang Fenghe, Tian Minyu, He Ye among others, we have faced challenges head-on with determination. Guided by 'professionalism', 'market orientation', 'internationalization', and 'professionalization', we actively optimized organizational mechanisms and promoted organizational construction. We successfully built a high-quality secretariat team that meets diverse development needs through various platforms including meetings for communication, technology promotion platforms, quality improvement platforms, education training platforms, statistical analysis platforms as well as exhibition and market expansion platforms. The association now comprises six branches with two standardized technical organizations and one vocational skill evaluation center with 516 member enterprises whose total revenue accounts for 80% of the entire industry—a high-quality model social organization trusted by government entities.

The forty-year journey is a history of innovation that serves our country and fulfills our mission.Over these forty years, the association has always taken serving our country, society, industry members as its responsibility while driving innovation based on enterprise support. It continuously enhances service capabilities while expanding service areas successfully creating a series of brand works including party building within industries data analysis technology standards quality brands talent cultivation market expansion among others. Whether implementing national policies advising government decisions formulating revitalization plans or guiding structural adjustments transforming upgrades undertaking key national R&D tasks organizing scientific research standard developments or regulating order market expansion promoting technological achievements international exchanges talent cultivation promoting sewing culture or shouldering social responsibilities—the association has received high praise from national society and industry alike. In its forty years since establishment it has received numerous honors such as being recognized as an advanced civil organization nationwide an advanced collective in light industry among others four out of ten group standards developed by our association have been listed by MIIT as demonstration projects currently we are also recognized as a standardized pilot unit for party branch construction awarded by SASAC.

The forty-year journey is a history marked by resilience against adversity.During these forty years both our association and industry development faced numerous difficulties and challenges especially since entering this new century where global economic conditions continue adjusting alongside industrial competition patterns while technological revolutions intersect historically with China's accelerated transition towards new economic development methods. Financial storms subprime crises SARS COVID-19 among other black swan gray rhino events frequently disrupt progress. The association unites leads industries facing various problems challenges head-on overcoming difficulties seizing historic opportunities achieving transformations across product categories from household machines primarily towards industrial machines primarily shifting R&D from follower-style innovation towards independent innovation transitioning market sales from domestic focus towards dual circulation new development patterns evolving application fields from labor-intensive industries into capital-intensive technology-intensive sectors. By end of '13th Five-Year Plan' period our entire sector achieved strong nation aspirations ahead of schedule currently we stride forward toward even grander goals within first tier nations.

The forty-year journey is one characterized by diligent governance inspiring progress.The development over these forty years reflects our nation's great journey through reform opening up building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Over these four decades our association participated in witnessed under Party leadership how sewing machinery sector adhered steadfastly toward long-term stable growth vision looking back at remarkable achievements we express gratitude toward Party leadership progress made during this era appreciation toward higher authorities partners gratitude toward all colleagues actively promoting sectoral growth participating actively within associations without you there would be no today’s association—it belongs to everyone! Looking ahead heavy responsibilities lie ahead new starting points new journeys require fresh missions actions during realization process toward ‘two centenary goals’ China Sewing Machinery Association will remain true original aspirations set sail embark on new journeys actively playing bridging roles striving build democratic management behavior norms self-discipline scientific management modern trade associations leading entire sector achieve historical leaps transitioning automation into digitization intelligence.

Though paths may be obstructed long yet if we proceed we shall arrive at destination confidently I believe leveraging fortieth anniversary celebration opportunity alongside collective efforts from all member enterprises surely we can forge ahead tirelessly diligently fulfill new missions responsibilities showcasing fresh commitments contributions representing Chinese sewing machine professionals writing new chapters within contemporary era’s development narrative!
